Some may know how amazing aloe vera is, as some may not even know what
that is!! Which is very unfortunate bc you seriously have
been missing on a very inexpensive good hair, skin, and health treatment!
Aloe vera is a spiky, green plant similar to that as a cactus that was used by
egyptians 6,000 years ago. In fact Cleopatra applied aloe vera gel all over her body as part
of her beauty regimen. Also ancient greeks used it to cure everything from baldness to insomnia to the Native Americans who called aloe vera the "wand of the heaven".
By the way I seriously recommend if you don't have your own aloe vera plant
go out and buy one asap. Aloe vera is sold in a variety of places, I personally bought mines
at Walmart, but I'm pretty sure you can get it at any store or market that sells plants.
What I mostly use this baby for is my hair and skin., my mom introduced me to this wonderful plant,
and since I've been using it everyday!!
What I usually do to get the aloe vera juice is cut pieces directly from the plant like these
Then you want to remove the skin like so...
You'll immediately begin to witness how juicy the pulp is.. although I warn you how strong the
smell can be, its not a horrible smell yet not a pleasant smell lol
once you actually take out the pulp, you can always leave it as is, gel form and apply it directly wherever you want... I personally take the pulp and throw it all in the blender. Once it's all blended I pour all the juice into a spray bottle.
I recently started using aloe vera on my skin after I wash my face at night.,
sleep with it overnight and in the morning wash my face like I usually do.
This has been helping me clear out my skin since that liquid mousse foundation by Maybelline
totally broke me out -DON'T BUY IT IF YOU HAVE SENSITIVE OILY SKIN-
On my hair I just spray it directly to my scalp and spread it down to my hair, this I've been doing
for the 9 months and I can honestly say it really helped my hair grow strong and healthy!
I've noticed how it has also helped prevent breakage on my ends.
So if you have not yet tried this, seriously buy yourself a plant and try this out.
You won't regret giving it a try.
Hope you enjoyed this post!
xoxo Leslie
